Many of these infections are preventable, and with the concerted effort of public health officials and local public health workers, the burden of sexually transmitted infections in Mongolia has the potential to be lifted by application of the Social-Ecological framework in consideration with the cultural, environmental, and population factors of public health significance that have a major effect on health and health decision making.
