Abstract
(Chemical Equation Presented) Hydrozirconation of terminal alkynes, followed by AgClO4-catalyzed in situ addition of the resultant alkenylzirconocenes to 1,2-anhydrosugars (glycal epoxides) leads to α-C-glycosides in moderate to high yields.
